Have you ever seen people out and about and thought to yourself, Wow! There's a weirdo? We just celebrated Apple Festival in Hendersonville, NC over Labor Day Weekend. While walking main street checking out vendors and eating way too much greasy food, I saw some rather unusual characters and thought that question myself.
Since then, I've been thinking about that and felt a question in my spirit that asked me; Are they really weird and shouldn't I be the weird one? Think about it... Peter tells us, that as Christians we are peculiar people. So that means we should be weird. But how?
I read Scripture and see some weird stuff just by studying the teachings of Christ. Stuff like, love your enemies, turn the other cheek, and become the servant or least in order to become the greatest. I don't know about you but that seems like some weird stuff to me. Yet that is what Christ has called us to.
Instead of labeling everyone else as weird because they aren't exactly like we are, what if we became weird for Christ? What if we started a weirdo movement because of Christ? I don't know about you, but I'm okay with being labeled as weird for the sake of Christ...
