Run Forrest Run

In 2 Timothy, Paul encourages Timothy to "RUN" from anything that stimulates youthful lust and instead to pursue things like righteousness, faithfulness, love and peace. The same is no different for us today. There are so many things readily available to us today ready to feed our lustful desire for all kinds of things. In the technology driven society that we live in today, if we take Paul's advice literally, we would be and should be constantly running.

We must be mindful of the things and people we pursue. If those things and people don't produce in us the things of God, (righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace), then I am going to use the famous words from the movie "Forrest Gump"; "RUN, FORREST, RUN!!!!!!!!!"

It's time we as Christians and Christ followers started running from the things and people that draw and compel us to give in to things that distract us from serving God with all that we are and all that He created us to be.

So my question today is: What do I need to be running from that I am naturally drawn to in the flesh? What do you need to be running from that you constantly gravitate to for satisfaction? What is it we need to hear God tell us, "Run, Forrest, Run", that we are flirting with?
