I was reading today in the book of Luke chapter 2 about the birth of Christ and was reminded of the fact that many times without notice or careful attention paid to it our lives are really no different than the Inn's in Bethlehem, (NO ROOM, in the INN). Paul reminds us later in the New Testament that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit which means He takes a dwelling place inside of us. Yet, most of the time with the business of society and hectic scheduling we find ourselves having no time, place or room for Him.
We must not become so busy with lesser important things in life that we neglect the most important thing in life, our relationship with our Creator. We must begin to discern the things in our lives that are causing us to have no room for Him and begin to weed those things out.
As we begin to weed those things out, we must start monitoring the things we allow to consume our lives and make sure they aren't taking the place of God in our lives. We must get our priorities back in order. We must allow God to have first place in our lives which is His rightful place in our lives.
How do we do this? We MAKE ROOM in the INN. We eliminate the unnecessary things in life and we invite Him in to take the place of those things. We give Him room in the Inn. We give him room in our Inn.
