No Ask No Receive

Jeremiah 33:3 = "Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets yo do not know about things to come." (NLT)

Jeremiah receives a word here that is later reiterated by both Jesus and James in the New Testament; "You have not because you ask not..." I don't believe God expects us to walk around or experience life dazed and confused all the time. I believe that God wants to reveal to us the plans and purposes he has for our lives.

The problem is we're not asking. God wants to show us great things concerning the purpose and direction of our lives. Here is the good thing, based on what he told Jeremiah, "I will tell you."

We don't have to wonder. We have to ask. Just as Jesus and James states, we don't have because we don't ask. Don't complain to God for not responding to life's circumstances if you haven't asked God what His will is for you in those circumstances and what His plans are as a result of those circumstances.

Just a thought. How much or how many complaints do we take to God that we haven't previously sought God in in the first place?

If you want to know what God's plan and purpose is for your future, the answer really is quiet simple. Ask...
