Romans 6:12-13 = "Do not let sin control the way you live, do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God."
Paul reminds us here of the power that sin has over our lives. He also reminds us of the greater power that we have in a new life in Christ. As Christians at no time should we allow sin to control our lives. Instead, we should take authority over sin and be instruments of God choosing to do what is right.
I don't want to give in to temptation or sin. I don't want to allow sin to have control over any part of my body or who I am. I want to walk in the victory that I have in Christ over sin because of the new life he has given me. I want to be an instrument of God's glory always choosing to do what is right in His sight.
Thank you Lord for victory over sin. May I be an instrument of your glory and not one who allows sin to dominate my life. Help me to walk in the victories you have given me and continually do what is right in your eyes.
