Luke 8:37 = "And all the people in the region of the Gerasenes begged Jesus to go away and leave them alone, for a great wave of fear swept over them."
Often times we get so comfortable in our lives, our world, our sins that we become like these people of Gerasene. When Christ comes on the scene ready to bring change in our lives for the good and bring breakthrough we resist because we aren't willing to let go of the things we are comfortable with. What we fail to realize is that the change Christ has for us is not to harm us or hurt us, but rather to help us.
I never want to be comfortable with who I am and where I am that I resist the change Christ has for me. I want to recognize His change as making me who I should be and taking me where He wants me to be.
Thank you Lord for change. Help me to keep an open mind and heart to what you want to do in my life. Help me to never be guilty of resisting you.
