Laughing at God

Genesis 18:12-13 = "So she laughed to herself and said, 'How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such a please, especially when my master - my husband - is also so old?' Then the Lord said to Abraham, 'Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, Can an old woman like me have a baby?' Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.'"

How many times do we laugh at the things of God? Sarah must have found this amusing and though maybe God was trying to be humorous. There are many times in life God says something, does something or requires something of us that we too are like Sarah and chuckle on the inside thinking God has somewhat flipped His rocker and is our of His mind.

God's timing is not always our timing and sometimes the timing is a test of our faith. God reaffirms this with the statement, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" It's not always for us to understand as much as it is for us to simply trust and believe God has something great in store for us.

I never want to be so close-minded about obvious things that I miss out on the supernatural things God is wanting to do in my life and my family. Even though I may not fully understand what God is doing I don't want to be guilty of blowing Him off and laughing at His plans. There are going to be times I want to question God's plans and motives, but I want the understanding of knowing nothing is impossible with God.

Thank you Lord, for looking out for and having my best interest at heart. Help me to keep an open mind and be understanding to your ways and plans for my life. Even though I may not fully understand what is going on, help me to have full faith in knowing nothing is impossible with you.
