Joyful are Those

While I was reading my devotional this morning, the last verse I read made the statement; "Joyful are those whose God is the Lord."

I can't think of anything better than that. I remember when I wasn't exactly living right, and to be honest I had no joy. Instead I had fear, guilt, sorrow, worry, the list could go on. However, there is nothing more exciting to know than to know that we are forgiven, we are just before God, we are His children.

There is true joy in serving God. There is true joy in knowing your sins are forgiven. There is true joy in knowing the God of the universe is not only our creator and Lord, but that we can also call Him Abba, we can call Him Father.

There is also strength in joy. The Bible tells us the joy of the Lord is our strength. When we have this joy, we have the strength to endure, anything the enemy throws our way, because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

Is He your God today? Because; "joyful are those whose God is the Lord!"
