How Do You Handle Temptation???????

While reading in the book of Luke chapter 4 this morning about the story of Jesus being led into the wilderness and tempted by Satan, I was reminded of the fact that temptation is inevitable. In today's society and world, you don't have to look long and hard to find things to be tempted by. It seems as though tempting things are easily accessible and in plain view.

I love the way Christ responded to every temptation thrown at him by Satan during this time of fasting and preparation for ministry. "The Scripture says..." WOW! What a response...  The only way we can follow this example is to apply the Word to our lives on a daily and regular basis.

Satan is very cunning and crafty and will do whatever it takes to lead us away from or draw us away from a quality relationship with Christ. He knows his coming fate and is not pleased about it and is willing to take as many people with him as he can.

Because of this we must keep our guard up and realize that we are not exempt from temptation. Think about it, if Christ was tempted what makes us think we won't be tempted as well? HELLO...

How we handle temptation says a lot about our character and depth of our relationship with Christ. So, how do we handle the temptations that are thrown our way by the enemy? Here's a good testimony from a guy who was known as a man after God's own heart: "Your Word have I hid in my heart, That I might not sin against you." (Psalm 199:11)
