Wisdom From Above

1 Kings 3:27-28 = "Then the king said, 'Do not kill the child, but give him to the woman who wants him to live, for she is his mother.' When all Israel heard the kings decision, the people were in awe of the king, for they saw the wisdom God had given him for rendering justice"

This was the first test and example of God giving or granting Solomon's request for wisdom. Unlike Solomon, many times we are more apt to make quick or hasty decisions without evaluating the whole situation. When we take time to see the big picture we can make wiser decisions. 

I want to have and use Godly wisdom in every decision I make. I don't want to make quick and hasty decisions that I may later regret. I want to take time to evaluate and see the big picture of every situation so that I can make the wise decision and do the right thing. 

Thank you Lord that Godly wisdom is available to me. May I seek that wisdom from above with every decision that is needed to be made. Help me to not make quick and hasty decisions based on passing emotions that I may later regret. May I take time to see the big picture so that a wise decision can be made.
