The Washing

Isaiah 1: 18

18 “Come now, let’s settle this,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.

I'm not sure about you but nothing eases me more than knowing I have a God who has my best interest in mind. I love this passage of scripture for the simple fact that it tells me everything I've ever done wrong, every shortcoming, every downfall, every sin, God will wash them away.

How can we not be excited about a God who is willing to do that for us? How can we not worship that kind of God with enthusiasm? How can we not willing submit our lives completely to Him?

I'm not a brain surgeon, and don't claim to be the smartest person in the world. However, it don't take a lot of common sense to tell me that a God who is willing to lay it all on the line for me and wash away all of my sin I should surrender my life to.

This is a message we need to tell the world. There is a God who loves you, who cares for you, who is concerned about you. This same God was willing to give His Son so that we could experience the washing Isaiah is talking about here. The best part of all is it's FREE.

My prayer is that my life would always be transparent before this God, and that I can live a cleansed life before Him. I pray that He would take all of my shortcomings, failures, and sins (both public and private) and wash them in the blood of His Son Jesus so that my life would be spotless and blameless before Him.
